Troop 501

Fund Raising

Troop 501  participates currently in three fund raising activities that occur in the Spring and Fall of the year.

  1. Pancake breakfast. This is the troops major fund raising effort to support troop related activities. The breakfast occurs in the spring (May 6th, 2006 from 7AM - 12PM) and is tied typically to St. Timothy's Spring blood drive.  Scouts earn money for their scout accounts on a sliding scale. The more they sell the more they earn for their personal scout account. This years sales were kicked off during the February, 26th family troop meeting.

Pancake Breakfast High Traffic Sales Schedule  (Updated 4-18)

Scouts can sign up to sell at high traffic locations such as the Jewel, Ace, Dominic's or participate in door-to-door sales. The sales schedule, once created,  can be viewed on-line.  Scouts that sell during the week will be rewarded at the weekly meeting with an assortment of candy bars.  As sales are tabulated they will be posted and included in the monthly budget summary.

  2. Wreath  & Popcorn Sales. During the fall the scouts have an opportunity to support the council and to also earn money for their scout accounts. All money, less expenses, is distributed to the scouts for use in supporting any expense they may incur as a scout.

The rationale the troop uses for funding raising can be read by reading the information on the linked page.
